Photoshop on macOS cmd+q shortcut overwrite issue

I'm using cmd+q all the time to flip the layer when drawing. idk what keep happening but macOS periorically keeps reseting the command cmd+q for "quit photoshop" when I reassign it in setting to some other shortcut.

Ive tried many things but the goal is simple: how do I make it so cmd+q wont be a shortcut for "quit photoshop" anymore as I need it to use a tool during work. Anyone experienced this or got any idea how to deal with this? thank you

I see no reason why the shortcut should not stick.

Did you save your set under Keyboard > Shortcuts?

That way you should at least be able to restore the settings easily if »something« happens.

Hi.

It appears photoshop randomly overwritten in-app shortcut which I previously made for layer flipping tool. it made that shortcut for "quit photoshop" on its own randomly as a few days prior it wasnt the case. also all my shortcuts are saved of course and havent been reset to any defaults. I still had all the other shortcuts as they are but just cmd+q changed on its own and I have no idea how it happened.
