Photoshop on Windows 11 and Newest Photoshop Continuous Crash

I have been struggling with Photoshop crashing with the latest updates. Today alone, I had about 10, every 5-10 minutes, whenever I was selecting with the select objects tool, and pasting the image selected, it would lock up, and then crash. A project that should've taken me ten minutes took me about an hour, and that's only because I caved and used Photoshop on my iPad.

 

I know other people have been dealing with this situation with the latest updates, but I haven't found a solution yet.

 

I am working on an HP Spectre 360 with an i7 Core processor running on Windows 11. My graphic drivers are up to date, I have reinstalled Photoshop 3 times, even going back to an older version with no luck, I have restarted my computer multiple times, and  I am still running into the same problem repeatedly.

 

Anyone have any other suggestions for a non-computer whiz!?

Do you have Monterey 12.4?

there were issues in earlier versions

macOS Monterey Problems with printing using Photoshop manages Color?

Users have reported a bug in macOS Monterey 12.2.1 in connection with ICC profile use/printing,

[as there was with macOS Big Sur 11.6.x, fixed in 11.6.5]

It’s been reported that the macOS Monterey 12.3 update fixes the issue.

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings.

(Mac OS only) Open the Preferences folder in the Library folder*, and drag the Adobe Photoshop CS Settings folder to the Trash.

This action only affects the items found in the preferences dialog box. Numerous program settings are stored in the Adobe Photoshop Preferences file, including general display options, file-saving options, performance options, cursor options, transparency options, type options, and options for plug‑ins and scratch disks. Brushes (and lots of other setting) are not affected by the above instructions for deleting preferences. You may wish to make a screen capture of the settings in the Preferences dialog to reset them prior to deleting of this file.

*To manually delete Photoshop preferences:
Quit Photoshop.
Navigate to Photoshop's Preferences folder:
MacOS: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Windows 10: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

Note:
The user Library folder is hidden by default on macOS. To access files in the hidden user Library folder, see How to access hidden user library files.

Drag the entire Adobe Photoshop [Version] Settings folder to the desktop or somewhere safe for a back-up of your settings

    I gave this one a go! I have another project coming up where I'll have to use Photoshop more, and I'll have to see if it works. With a quick trial run it seemed to, but I'll have to wait and see! Thank you!
