Photoshop opens and instantly crashes every time

So this has been happening ongoing for a few weeks, but suddenly as of today began happening every single time. Open Photoshop. It opens partially (as in, there's just a blank screen with the menu bar at the top and nothing else populates) and then it either instantly crashes (disappears) or freezes, and then forces me to end it from the Task Manager.

I've already uninstalled/re-installed, rolled back to 22.0, 23.0, etc, updated back to the 23.3 latest version. I deleted the font folder that is commonly discussed as being an issue due to perhaps a "faulty" font file. I had an Adobe CSR access my computer remotely and they couldn't solve it, then they asked me to reset and of course they disappeared.

This is a huge problem for me. I have daily deadline and I can't conduct any editing now.

Jeffrey, that said, I did add the text file and today Photoshop is back to working normally (that is, it didn't crash when I opened it AND the script loads from Bridge are functioning again). I don't see how my GPU could have been the issue, but in any event, I'll just hope that's the end of this ordeal. Thank you for the suggestion.

I have a Radeon RX 580. I'm not sure how you personally define "very old," but it's capable of editing in Davinci Resolve at 4k, so undoubtedly it's more than sufficient for the needs of Photoshop.

We suspect your graphics card is very old. First quit Photoshop. Then install the attached file (PSUserConfig.txt) in your Photoshop Settings folder:

....As I just wrote, the program is instantly closing. I can't access report submission. I can't access Preferences. The program is completely inaccessible. I spent 20 minutes with one of your techs accessing my computer just to watch them go through the same ridiculous steps I've already done 10 times. Uninstall, re-install, roll back, update, delete Font folder, strip preferences and plugins, blah blah blah. The program is unusable and inaccessible. I've re-installed it probably 20 times now, tryint everything between version 22 and 23.

One thing to try:

Go to Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?
