Photoshop performance and heat problem on MacBook Pro 16

Hi,

I have a Macbook Pro 16. I've noticed that the fans start working extremely loud when using Photoshop (22.0.1) and I don't know what causes this problem. The performace also isn't great. I would understand if I were doing things requiring a lot of CPU or GPU power but I'm literally just working with type or drawing on a tablet.

I don't even have this problem when working in Illustrator on large files. Sometimes I can't even hear anything. But the moment I start using Photoshop, it seems to make my laptop go crazy.

Do you know what causes this problem and what can I do about it?

Is it new? Mine was a little nuts with the fan for the few weeks / month. It's fine now.
