Photoshop property settings won't stay while in adjustments

Hi, I am practicing my photoediting through a class I am taking online.  I have run into an issue where the Properties that I have chosen based off of the Adjustment panel are not sticking when I move onto another adustment option. The photo does not look like I ever did anything with it. If someone could help or has any suggestions that would be great, thank you!

To assist you better, could you please provide more details and some screenshots to illustrate the issue? Kindly specify which adjustment you are utilizing and your intended outcome, along with screenshots displaying the Layers panel and Properties panel, both expanded and visible.

    Hi! I ended up solving my own problem but I do appriectiate you taking the time to help. The issue was instead of going back to the original layer that I had chosen what settings I wanted for the adjustments I chose, I went and clicked on each adjustment in the Adjustment panel to try and change my preference.
