  1. Can someone explain a simple way to remove the lady and dog in the middle of this photo?

Have you tried doing a search for photoshop remove person? 

 

The best approach depends on the image, naturally, so please post it or a lores version.

 i want to remove the female and dog in the middle of this photo. The clone tool doesn't do it to my satisfaction. Can someone explain the besr way?  Thank you

Content-Aware Fill may not be the »best way« (but that quite frankly seems like a problematic concept anyway) but it should provide a starting point on which you can improve with the Clone Stamp Tool (on a separate Layer) or even downright painting. 

But make sure to work on a duplicate Layer and keep the original.

Most often, removing folks from an image involves using the Clone Stamp tool.
