Photoshop quits whle loading

Photoshop and Photoshop Beta are both quitting while loading. I see PS reading my preferences, then it quits. I don't see the "reading preferences" messages on the Beta, but I assume the same thing is happening. Yesterday I updated some other software (On1) which installs PS plugins, and I suspect a plugin is causing my grief. Is there a procedure for testing or disabling plugins to find incompatibilities?

    @John Towler if you hold the shift key while double clicking on the Photoshop icon, you should see this message displayed

    Thanks for the reply. Both PS and PS Beta start properly when I hold the shift key. I moved all the plugins in the main PS plugin folder to a temp folder outside of the plugin folder, and it still quits on startup. Where else should I look for trouble?

    I found the problem. Photoshop has plugins in the HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC folder. As I suspected, it was one of the On1 plugins. When it was removed, all was good; if it was the only plug-in in the folder, no-go. I've reported the problem to On1, meanwhilc, I can live without that plug-in.
