Photoshop saving holds at 0%

Hello and thanks for your time.

A file that is 2160x2700 and not many layers will not save. The saving process stops at 0%. I canceled the process. I have also created a new empty file, dragged all layers over and now want to save it under a new name. Now I am shown that there are 2 files in the queue ... just the one from before and the new one.

Even if I close the first file completely and want to save the new one, the old file reappears in the queue and blocks the saving of the new file as well. Any chance to empty the queue somehow that the old and already closed file does not come up again and blocking the saving process for the new file?
Thanks again.

Hi @ingol55091394 sorry to hear this. As Derek pointed out, the first thing to try is resetting your preferences.

Curious if you tried the manual method?

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Restore your preferences using this manual method:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Thank you,

In addition since i resetted the preferences als warning messages/windows appear somewhere in the background and the only thing i can do is using the escape button and the message comes up for a blink. And ideas for that?
Thanks

Have you tried resetting the Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in preferences, then closing and reopening the application?
