Photoshop says I'm signed into more than 2 devices when I'm not

I have only TWO computers with Photoshop installed that I'm signed into, but whenever I start PS on either one of them, I get this message...

The one that says "This device" is the SAME device as whichever one I'm signed into at the moment, which is either KPOP-BASE1, or DARREN4, so it's counting that one device twice. There is no third computer/device anywhere, so basically, it's only letting me sign into ONE computer at a time, not two like it claims I'm allowed.

This just started happening in the last few days, but before that, I could be signed into both computers all day long with no issues. I've signed out of my Adobe account and rebooted both computers, but that didn't work.

Yeah, I tried that a couple of times, but it didn't work, however, today I got a new error that simply said that Photoshop encountered an error and needed to close. So, I resorted to one of the old tricks in the book by not only signing out of both computers, but also completely uninstalling and re-installing all Adobe apps associated with my account (on both computers), and that seemed to fix it. 🙂

I probably should have tried that earlier, but since it seemed to be account-related, I didn't think it would be necessary. Live and learn, I guess. Thanks!

Start by checking your status via the web site. Perhaps soem invalid info is lingering there. Otherwise refer to this and the pages linked from there:

Perhaps you need to manually delete some old activation data that the CC app/ license manager is latching on wrongly. also if it worked before and only changed recently, there's a good chance it actualyl has to do with changes you may have made in your internet configuration, so check your router and all that as well.
