Photoshop scratch disc full - files missing

I got an error message scratch disc full,  Photoshop would not open. I finally got it launched from the program list not from the desktop shortcut with contol/alt.  Now none of my photoshop files are there - it looks like a brand new program.  It will now open from lightroom, but no images show except the one I imported.

Please help.

    Sorry that Photoshop is now working as expected as you're getting error message "Scratch disk full" and some of your files are missing.

     

    Which version of Photoshop are you using and on which operating system?

     

    Would you mind checking out the steps mentioned in this article https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/scratch-disks-preferences.html#Troubleshootscratchdisksarefullerror and let us know if that helps?

     

    Also, are your files missing from the "Recent files" section in Photoshop? Or are you referring to the files you were working on while the error message appeared?
