Photoshop script question

Hi does any know how to process web images from raw or large jpegs to a set pixel dimension. Normaly I script and seperate all vertical from horizontal and do it twice to get a web image 2048px x1365px is there a better way ? thanks in advance Sav

Not sure if I'm fully understanding...

 

You can record the File > Automate > Fit Image command into an action with a size of 2048 x 2048 px, which will resize the longest landscape or portrait edge to that value, with the shorter side scaling proportionally. Depending on the image, this may or may not result in the shorter edge being 1365 px.
