Photoshop Select Subject doesn't work

Hello adobe team,

I had installed the latest version of Photoshop, and for some reason when I try to use the select subject tool, it doesn't work. it instead just selects the entire image, and only the whole image. It won't select anything else, or choose spefic parts of the image.
