Photoshop shutting off and disappearing in a flash

When I'm in nthe middle of work PS will just disappear! 

It shuts off.

Last week this was fine, it started happening yesterday.

I updated macOS and checked my PSCC was up to date. It still happens.

 

It literally just vanishes in the blink of an eye *gone*.

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in Photoshop preferences.
