Photoshop smart object linked to Illustrator

I'm trying to update a smart object in Photoshop that is linked to an Illustrator file. When I fill the Illustrator shape with my pattern and save it the Photoshop file has white tile lines, but I know the pattern repeats seamlessly. Any idea how to fix this?

Could you provide the package (psd- and linked ai-file)? 

Or at least post screenshots taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible? 

 

Does the »update« happen differently if you do not update the SO but relink it to the saved file instead?
