Question

Photoshop sometimes deletes layer contents when I click the canvas

I am using Photoshop CC 2019. This does not occur every time I use the program, but when it does, it tends to be a persistent annoyance. I will be in the middle of drawing lineart with the brush tool, and, seemingly at random, when I touch my Huion stylus to the canvas a block of my work on the active layer will be deleted. The only way to undo this is to click back 2-3 steps in the history panel, which also undoes the last 2-3 brush strokes I made. Sometimes the block of vanished work also returns if I select the area with the marquee tool and move it around. I have no idea why this happens, why it happens only sometimes, or how to fix it. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and have you found a way to prevent this? It is EXTREMELY frustrating.

Hi we think you should update your tablet drivers to check on this problem....Regards

Hello,

I already had the latest tablet drivers installed. I re-installed them, and am still having the exact same issue. Blocks and/or horizontal lines of work on my active layer will disappear on random brush strokes. The work reappears when I use the move tool, and sometimes appears (partially or completely) when I make a few more brush strokes, or go back a few steps in my history panel. Re-installing the latest Huion drivers did not help, and this problem, when it occurs, remains persistent and makes Photoshop virtually unusable.
