photoshop stopping at 10% save

Ok, I'm about the lose it.... Photoshop is up to date and about every 3rd picture I save stops saving at 10% and times out. I have to force quit the program and restart everything. SO FRUSTRATING! Any insight on this?

      Try disabling save in background. Edit->Preferencse->File Handling.
      What is the result?

      So far it IS working! Thanks so much!! Fingers crossed it keeps going!

      Perhaps this is a bug that needs to be fixed.
      By doing so, you have lost the ability to work during the save and auto recovery feature.

      Experiment with background saving turned on, but in the same place enable the checkbox "Disable compression fo PSD and PSB"
