Question

Photoshop stuck at 99% while saving files - windows

Hi Everyone,

I am using the 2023 version of photoshop on a Core i9 11 gen windows operating system. I have 32 GB RAM and 1TB M2 SSD but still IDK why Photoshop always freezes at 99% for a while even saving small files. It takes up to a minute to save files which is really irritating. Can anyone please help me solve this issue?

Thank You

Have you tried uninstalling, then reinstalling Photoshop? This could help ensure a clean install of the application removing anything that may be not fully fuunctional.

Another thing you could try is resetting preferences:

Just checking if your issue is still happening or if any of the above helped solve the problem?

Hi @SajidAli are you running as an admin on the account?

What happens if you shift+right-click the Photoshop.exe and choose "Run as Adminstrator"?

Sorry, I could not understand, what you meant by "running as an admin on the account?"

I am using a personal profile on adobe cc.

Secondly, It runs photoshop whenever I Run as Administrator just like we open it by double clicking.

And one more thing, whenever I open Photoshop by double-clicking on a PSD file, it creates a gude.log file in the same folder. Can both issues co-relate?

Thank You

The gude log is a different issue well documented in this forum.

Some users do not have admin permissions setup on their Windows login so PS does not automatically run as an admin.
