Photoshop tools freezing after latest update

After upgrading to the latest version of photoshop certain tools keep freezing up. When I try to add a new layer or group, the buttons on the layers panel stay depressed and I can't add a new layer. Also the rotate tool has stopped working so when I try to rotate my image it just defaults back to the 0 degree rotation angle. I then have to close Photoshop down and start again, but the tools freeze up again after 30 minutes or so. I'm using Windows 10 with a Wacom Intuos tablet.

There seems to be problems in Windows Photoshop 21.1.0 with Wacom Tablets reinstall 21.0.3

I had a feeling my Wacom tablet might be the issue. I'll try reinstalling 21.0.3 and see if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Hi, hoping to find help. As the latest updates to photoshop has frozen my brush when I zoom in at 200% on a project. Brush works fine at 100%

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in Photoshop preferences.

Hi Derek, thanks for your suggestion. I gave it a go but sadly it hasn't fixed the problem and the add layer button is still freezing.
