Photoshop upgrade causing artifacts in photos

After the last photoshop upgrade...anytime I import a photo from photos on my iMac, photoshop is creating some streaks on the left or bottom of the photo.  If I exit without saving the photo now has these streaks.  It's ruining my photos.

I have run thru all the trouble shooting steps and have verified that my graphics card is compatible.  Anyone else having this issue?

We have had some posts about the liquify command creating spots on Mac Mojave, of which an update fixed for osme peopel.

Are the spots actually in the image after you open, or is this s preview problem? You can check by using the eyedropper set to 1 pixel and the watch the values on your information.

Just opening and closing the files cannot damage them, unless you save. Can you do a save as to see if they spot are being put into a stationary place and post a screenshot. One we get more info can determine if maybe adjusting your Open GL or graphics processor settings will help.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear that, could you please try deselecting "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?

You may also have a look at the article below:

Thank you.  I have already tried these troubleshooting steps.  I still have the same issue.
