Question

Photoshop Using "Significant Energy" while fully closed

Hey guys, I have a Macbook 1.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5. It has 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and the current free space is 70.11 GB. While using photoshop, my fans on my macbook run like crazy but what is even more annoying is that they run like crazy even when the app is fully shut down/closed. The battery  also drains so quick on my computer and shows "Using Significant Energy: Adobe Photoshop 2024" even when the app is fully closed. If anyone knows why or can point me in the right direction on how to fix the issue, I would appreciate it!

Also the "Using significant energy" notice is not live - its aggregate showing what has been using the majority of the battery life until it's recharged.

Hi @Eddie Castillo you're taxing your Macbook Air pretty hard trying to run Photoshop on it.

The Air only came with an Intel Iris Plus GPU and that is considered a low-end GPU.

The Iris Plus only clocks in at 851 ops/sec and the recommended minimum speed is 2,000.

To be frank - Macbook Airs are not intended to be used for graphics programs like Photoshop or the video apps. I would fully expect this behavior when trying to run this on an Air compared to a MacBook Pro.
