Question

Photoshop version differs between HDD and Creative cloud

In my computer the version of Photoshop CC is 20.0.9

When I select Update under Help menue, it goes to Creative Cloud and the verion shown is 21.1.2

It gives an option to Open.  But it does not update my computer version from 20.0.9 to 21.1.2

How to update my computer version to the same version of Creative cloud?

Thanks

You have them both installed. Just go look for it. No, a major version update does not replace the old version. They are independent and can be installed at the same time.

Hi there,

Sorry about the issue with the Photoshop versions, this seems really weird! Would you letting us know if you are using a Mac or Windows? Please check the applications list for your computer by going to the Applications folder for your Mac or the Programs and features for Windowjs to check if you have 2 versions of Photoshop installed on the computer.

You can also launch the Creative Cloud desktop app, then select All Apps from the list on the left and check if it shows two versions of Photoshop under Installed.

I an using Windows OS
In the application list in my computer it is showing the product version
20.0.9
Creative Cloud desktop showing both the versions Installed

I can work in the latest version by opening it from the Creative Cloud
desktop, but not from my system.

Hi,

You can uninstall the 2019 version through the Creative Cloud desktop. Once done, check if you are able to see the 2020 version on the applications list.
