Photoshop will not launch/open, after trying everything already on forums

Good afternoon

 

I have searched for help on this issue and have tried uninstalling, restarting, clearing preferences etc etc and my Photoshop still will not open.  Can anyone help?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the CC desktop app? (Not photoshop).

There have been a number of reports on here the last two days related to that.

Hi!

What version of Photoshop? Did you just recently upgrade? Or change computers? And, what platform are you working on--Mac or Windows?

 

I just recently read a post that talked about a firewall being the culprit behind a lag in Photoshop, and I was just wondering if you also are working behind a firewall? If the firewall is blocking the ability of your version of Photoshop to contact Adobe, it might be the cause. I don't have a definitive answer, but was hoping this might help. Let us know?

I didn't see that you said you used the Adobe Cleaner tool. See this help page:

Also check to see if your system has met the system requirements:

Is this a recent issue that Photoshop will not open?

Thank you for your reply Jane.  This is a recent issue.  I have completed lots of work on Photoshop, using the same laptop I am trying to use now to open it.

 

I have completed the cleaner tool as you suggested and it still will not open.

 

Any other ideas?  This is very frustrating as I am obviously paying for the subscription and not able to complete any work.  I wonder if this is a new common issue?
