photoshop will not let me save or save as ps5.5 of master collection on windows 7

Question

i have a fresh clean computer built and installed the master collection 5.5.  Photoshop will not let save or as save.  When clicked it literally does nothing. If you use x in the corner to remove photo it will give you an option to save photo in the place it came with not other options offered.  I have uninstalled the complete program and just installed photoshop and still having same problem.  Please HELP!!

Why would you even want to run windows 95 32bit software that was released in 1999 on a New PC running 64 Bit Windows 10. The Extract Plug-in in that PS 5.5 Photoshop was so bad that Adobe deleted the Plug-in in some release after PS 5.5. You would be much better of buying Photoshop Elements which will set you back less than $100.00 USD. You will havs a version of ACR for Elements, improvement in the Photoshop features that are in Photoshop Elments some Photoshop Actions and Scripts will work in Elements. In PS 5.5 the is nor ACR or Photoshop Scripting I do not know if PS 5.5 code has support for the large disk on your machine and you machine most likely has more RAM than PS 5.5 can access. Are you still driving your 22 year old car. I just sold my 1990 300ZX 2+2 with T top is was 32 years old still operational net was costing quite a bit to keep on the road. I feel you had gotten more then your money's value out of PS 5.5 its time to spring for Elements. You do need all that is in Creative Cloud Photoshop.

Did you try Windows 95 compatability mode on Windows 10
