Photoshop won't allow me to type the letter h

I've been having a strange issue lately with Photoshop 19.1 where it won't accept a lowercase h in any text input.  I noticed it as I was renaming a layer and when I'd press h the layer would hide instead of adding an h to the name (somewhat understandable since that's the hotkey).  I could work around this but when I try to use a text box it also won't type h but it doesn't hide the layer either.  It will let me type a capital h but not lower case in any area for text input including the unit boxes, etc.  I tried resetting preferences but it didn't help.  Right now the only way I can successfully get a lowercase h into a text box is copy and pasting.  Any help would be appreciated.  I'm using Windows 7.

At first save your Keyboard Shortcut set ( call the dialog with [Shift]+[Alt]+[Strg]+ )

Then set the Keyboard Shortcut to Photoshop standard (close and reopen Photoshop)

Try again to write the lowercase h

I think I've found the issue.  After resetting shortcuts didn't work I remember I was running a standalone program called APssistant to disable the alt menu in Photoshop (it's a nightmare using hotkeys on Windows).  After closing that program the h has returned!  Now I just need to get them to work together.

Did you restart your computer and tried again?

I did. Tried as many of the basic fixes as I could, no luck so far.
