Photoshop won't open

Photoshop won't open because it says my scratch disk is full. I tried doing the command+option (I am on a mac) but both my two disks were full. I just downloaded photoshop an hour ago, so I have a Macintosh HD disk and a Startup disk but they both won't work. I can't open photoshop, what do I do? Photoshop was one of the main apps I was looking forward to when I bought CC. Please, please help me!

Correct answer Abambo

You need some free disk space! Scratch disk is temporary space used by Photoshop and is primordial. Get more free disk space and Ps will start.

Thank you so much! What I did was deleted some photos and music and some apps off of my mac which cleared space on my Mac disk!

As a general advice, you should always allow for free disk space on your system. The computer performs better if he does not need to shuffle data around to create some connected space as needed.

SSDs have improved that situation, but with a SSD there are other problems that require you to keep some free space.

By the way the message is "Could not initialize Photoshop because the scratch disks are full."
