I keep getting error code 189 when i try to install photoshop on my PC. I changed the default installation space to my external harddrive but the app keeps trying to download on my default C: drive which I dont have space on. Ive tried to uninstall all of my CC apps and the CC app itself but the photoshop app just doesnt want to download on my harddrive. Anyone know a solution to this?

You're going to need several GB of temporary space on C just to download. If you haven't got tens of GB on C, you are in big trouble all round.

Just to clarify, you need adquate empty space on C drive to download & unpack the installation files, even if you've specified another drive or volume.

Evidently, you don't have sufficient disk space on your primary hard drive to install Photoshop.

  • Move work files to externals or cloud storage.
  • Uninstall non-essential software.
  • Run clean disk utilities, etc... to free up more space.

Ensure your computer meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements to run Creative Cloud + OS + all other apps you use. Check each one.  Also pay attention to Photoshop's new GPU requirements.
