I am sure that someone will know the answer.  Eversince upgrading to PS24 when I open it up the "Workpage", sorry not sure of correct name, open small or inrelation to the photo size.  The toolbars are not connected to the page and I can see whatever programe page I have open below it.  If I close the document I am left with the toolbars down the left and right of my screen with the menu bar at the top but the middle workspace is gone.

I am using MacOS V14.7, Apple M1 Pro.  If I use PS 23 it opens "normally" .  Hope somebody has a simple answer?

Here are some screenshots that I hope will show my problem.

Correct answer Myra Ferguson

You have Application Frame turned off. You can turn it back on by going to Window > Application Frame.

If your images are still floating, you can go to Window > Arrange > Consolidate All to Tabs.

Hey, @stewm74582087. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you set up your Photoshop.

In the Window menu > disable 'Application Frame' & check if that helps.

Head here to learn more about the workspace in Photoshop: https://adobe.ly/494r7Cl

Thanks!

Hi @mention,

Thanks for the quick response. I had to enable "Aplication Frame" to make the workspace full size.  This then made my navigation area on the right of the page disappear.  If I disable the aplication frame then the navigation area is there.

Sorry I meant Panels rather than navigation area.
