Since about 3 downloads ago I have been having a problem when I resize the menu open - I type my data and then the system locks up - theonly way out is using Taskmanger to kill process which loses all changes just made to image.

At first I thought it migh only occur when I opened a CR2 file but had not yet saved. But this time I took a 4" by 5" jpg to only go from 340 res to 300 and it locked up!

Thought maybe with so many recent changes aand downlaods maybe a fix was in but NO!

Any other options other than I am not saving everytime I want to play with resize.  my system never had a problem handling before - Windows 10 64 bit  - up to date

The only problem I would like to see is when we get updates there is a list of ixes so I can see if the problem was addressed. Seems idiotic to go back versions to fix current problems tht surface under new installs. My driver is up to date.

Several weeks ago I called Adobe because I kept getting multiple versions to upgrade all the time and really wasn’t sure what version to use. They had me delete the old versions and upgrade to the newest 21.1 (I believe that is version I have now).

Anyhow the thing I noticed was that sometimes tools like Healing Brush or Clone would not work. All I needed to do was to save the file/image, close and reopen it. Shortly later I got new downloads so not sure what they fixed and this turned up. That still doesn’t work all the time.

I will plan to try your solution – just afraid it will screw everything up as I don’t always have my preferences memorized.
It may take a week as I have to do this between jobs I am doing and can’t afford for anything to happen since getting actual technical help from ADOBE seems impossible.

Sound like a good reason to reinstall 21.0.3 many have. If you are having Problem with other 21.0,x versions you need to find where the problems are. The first things you should do is to make sure you have the latest device driver installed for your display adapter, Reset all Photoshop tools and reset you user id Photoshop preferences. If after that you still have problem you need to trouble shoot them.
