Hi Adobe community,
I have a problem with photoshop actions I often find myself to resize pictures adding logos inside them if I make a manually procedure these files will have a size of few kilobytes if i make instead an automatic batch (action) the generated file will have a size about 6 times more than the original one can you help me to understand why happens?
p.s: i use photoshop cc 2019 release 20.0.5 (while with previous versions I didn't have this problem) logos that i combine inside pictures is a .PSD can someone help me please? thank you for anyone will reply 🙂

You need to post your action so we can see what Photoshop steps were recorded and the getting that are recorded for each step.  The problem is most likely in the action you recorded.

It is good advice to update Photoshop to latest version before anything else. Hovewer, we will need more info to better assist you: which automation or batch process you are using, I mean which script? Can you show us configuration in batch dialog? In which previous version you didn't had problem? Do you use same batch option with the same configurations?

What file-format are the resulting files (psd, jpg, …)?

How exactly do you create them (saving as, save for web, exporting, …)?

Can you post the two versions for one image so we can see if ancestor metadata might ve involved?

Hi There,

Welcome to the Adobe Community!

As the size of the files increase when you automate the process in Photoshop, could you please try updating to the most recent version of Photoshop which is 20.0.6 via the Creative Cloud Desktop application and let us know if it helps?

Regards,
Sahil
