Hi guys, I am really having trouble trying to solve this issue. I have already tried everything suggested online like DPI increase, re-download, reset presets... doesn´t matter how much I try I keep having this problem. Every time I create vectors or text or anything in photoshop every single element is pixelated, and the same happens when I export any file from psd. My Indesign and Illustrator work just fine. If anyone can help me out that would be great! Im starting to lose my mind over this .  Thanks in advance!

Example of my vector below:

1. What size in pixels is your image?

2. What size in inches is the frame for the cover you are trying to fill in InDesign?

3. Double check that you have Object > Display Performance > High Quality Display

So the typical industry standard is that you should create your art at is 300dpi at the size it will be printed. So if your cover is 5.25 x 8.75 then your image should be 1575px by 2625px. Then when you import into InDesign your file should be fine.

GL with your book!

Hit Ctrl / Cmd + 0 (zero) to bring magnification down to normal level.

Thanks for your answer Dax. Do you have any clue, why its doing the same when exporting an image? Even when not zoomed in, it looks terribly blurred.

When you export you need to know what size you will be printing this at. If I have a square document that is 800px then I know that it will print clearly at 2.67 inches. Any larger and it will be pixellated. What is the pixel height and width of your document and what size are you printing it at?

One thing to remember. Photoshop is not a vector program. Anything/Everything in Photoshop will looks this way if you zoom in enough. You are correct in your assumption that Illustrator and InDesign will produce scaleable lossless art. Photoshop will not. It is completely resolution dependent.
