Hi,

Since updating to 2022, Photoshop has been freezing when I try to embed an image. Usually, I can find the image and click place, but sometimes it freezes when I type in the search box the file's name to embed. It is only happening with Photoshop. I have to force photoshop to close with the tasks manager, but it won't work properly until I restart the computer. And even then, it will freeze again when I try to place an image for the second time.

I would appreciate any help, please.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about Photoshop freezing. Could you please try deselecting "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?

Sahil

Hi,

Somebody suggested changing the automatic save to 1 hour (instead of 10 minutes), which seemed to have also fixed the problem. I have done what you suggested too and tried placing images embedded, and I haven't had any problem either.

Thank you.
