I am having this problem too. I get the same type of image to when trying to open any png from a client or coworker. The "fixes" above don't help. Is this an Adobe problem? Another problem I also noticed the pen tool won't work if the canvas is rotated.

Yah - this is pretty awful! - Levels is wacky too

Command + Option + Shift > click on Photoshop icon - delete prefs. All Fixed.

No problems here:

Perhaps you can try to check or uncheck your GPU perfomance.

I have the same problem with png.

I tried everything you said and still it won't open.

It seems, you tried to place the PNG?? Or copy&Paste ???

What is if you "only" open your (saved on your computer) PNG?
