Question

Preserving adjustment layers on final image

Hi,
I am working with photoshop CS6, On an image I have created an adjustment layer to alter the brightness and contrast. editing the brightness will alter the colour of any thing I fill to be either darker or lighter depending on how I have set it on the adjustment layer. Upon finishing the image I wanted to flatten (or merge) the layers, but when I would the adjustment layer would disappear (and so the colours would be the original swatches and be significantly lighter). I tried to print but it previewed it as the image without the adjustments. Is there a way that I can merge all of my layers without losing the adjustment layer I have created, and have the final image with the adjustments applied to the flattened image?

Normally, when you flatten the image, the adjustments contained in an adjustment layer are baked into the flattened image.

If you are not seeing this can you post a screenshot of the image before and after flattening and include an image of your layers panel

here is the layer before merging (top), my layers panel (middle), and the image after merging  (bottom), if you need some background on to how I did everything I will be happy to fill you in
