Preset Screen

Can anyone help me get rid of this preset screen. It comes up when I try to open a photo, and won't allow me to see or edit my photos. Just happened yesterday. My work is at a standstill. Thanks.

This shouldn't come up when you're opening an existing photo, only a new file. You might need to reset your preferences.

Thanks for replying. Any chance you could tell me what I need to change in
Preferences?

Use ctrl/cmd-k to bring up the preferences. There is a button there to reset them, when you quit PS.

How are you opening the file? Are you double-clicking from a file browser (Bridge/Windows Explorer), or is this from the start screen?

Thanks for replying. This is the screen I have always used. I reach it by
clicking home. I have always clicked the Open button, it opens the Picture
file on my computer in a separate window, I type in the name of the photo I
want and it opens in Photoshop. Now when I do that I get the preset screen
I enclosed in my previous message.
