Previewing selection in "Select Subject" not working as expected

Using the Select Subject tool, I can't preview any changes I make before I click OK. Here's an example where I've used the brush tool and intentionally made a selection outside of the subject, Image #1 is a screen shot taken just before I clicked OK, and as you can tell from picture #2 the preview is incorrect. The same thing goes for when I use the sliders - I see no difference in the preview.

I've reset the tools but that didn't help. Any ideas?

    Hi

    Try using Select Subect inside teh Select and Mask workspace. It offers a variety of previews. Make sure you do not have "Show original checked" and, if working in onion skin preview , make sure you don't have a copy of the image on the layer below the one used for selection (otherwise transparency just shows the same image)
