Printing large files Problem

I have PSB files 16bit that are taking 45min. or longer to get from my mac to the Canon 8400 printer via network connection. Mac is 8 core 64 ram running OS 10.11.6 Printer is new. Please help this is very frustrating. The printer works fine from other machines.
