Printing Problem - Color Differences

I am printing to Canon large format printers using ICC profiles.  When printing from Photoshop CS6 and from Photoshop CC (any year), the colors are not the same.  I can print the same image on the same paper with all the exact same settings, but the colors don't match.  They vary slightly, but enough to notice.  I've included an example.  The print on the right is from CS6 and the print on the left is from CC 2019.  The CS6 print is correct and matches the screen.

Since I create my own ICC profiles, I contacted X-Rite and we tried factory built ICC profiles.  We even tried printing with no profiles and there's still a discrepancy.  The color difference happens regardless of profile or paper.  The issue lies with Photoshop, but Adobe phone support has been zero help.

    Big Sur?

There is apparently a bug in Mac OSX Big Sur 11.6.2 in connection with ICC profile use/printing,

Some users have reported success after updating to Monterey, personally, I'd be more likely to go back a version rather than jumping into a new OSX version so soon after release.

Sadly this bug appears to still be present in 11.6.3, according to users here who have made that upgrade.

Some users have reported positive results in OSX Big Sur - with some profiles being usable after opening them into the ColorSync utility and “fixing” any errors found.

    I hope this helps

I can no longer print from Photoshop as when I do reds are turned to oranges.  I'm printing to an Epson p9000.  If I use Epson color controls or apply profile in ColorSync  reds print fine.  When I apply a profile in Photoshop reds are turned to orange.

Im having the exact same issue with my p9000. All the paper ICC profiles print the reds as orange.

Any profile of any kind prints orange instead of Red.

I might be wrong but there probably has been updates between the two different versions of Photoshop.  One might be able to handle color differently as well as more information.

I am sure another ACP will answer the questions correctly.  But my guess is the changes in the software could be making the different.

Example years ago when I had CS whatever and then got C5, I noticed my colors were quite different in an old project.  I was really amazed.   Like I said I could be wrong with my assumption... but I am sure another ACP will be able to explain things better.

Thanks for the reply.  I would love to know for sure and especially love to know how to fix it.
