Printing problems

I've just installed a canon pro 200, and i can't get it to print a photoshop file correctly. They are coming out very over saturated, ive tried all the paper profiles.  I think ive got a setting wrong somewhere but i can't work out where.

I was previously using a canon pro 100 and printing fine, just can't get this upgrade to work.

I'm using GFsmith callisto pearl 300gsm to print a greetings card design.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

As Digitaldog suggested, please do use a reference image for testing such as his

or this one - [ please go here and download the Adobe RGB testimage: https://www.colourmanagement.net/index.php/downloads_listing/ ]

Next: set Photoshop's print dialog to "Photoshop manages color" and select an ICC profile for your printer model and the specific paper you're using.

In the Print settings window, color management should automatically be disabled [Adobe software can do that], if it's not, make sure it's switched off there.

[When Photoshop is managing color then you don't want the print driver doing that too, that would be double colour management.

I hope this helps

What is your OS and version? Are you certain that you do not do double colour management?

Printer drivers on macOS may not be the best. Very often, they provide “homemade” solutions for printing that may not work well together with professional programs like Photoshop.
