Problem maintaining texture with healing brush and clone stamp

If you want to maintain texture, I would use the clone stamp tool. What are your settings? Mine doesn't blur textures...

You can also try the spot healing brush with proximity match or the clone pattern tool can help you add it back in

Try healing and cloning into a new empty layer on top so you do not destroy what you have
