Problem. PSD file 400x300 px weight 15+Mb (must be 1-5Mb not more). Typography get the files that have small size in pixel, but big weight, up to 16 Mb. Something wrong. Inclusions became while people working in Photoshop. Antivirus is actual, but not alarm on sutch files. Photoshop does not erase unnecessary information from the file when saving and copy-pasting. In other words, it is legal for photoshop. But what is this extra information and where does it come from and how will it be turned off?

We foud another solution. Program "Exif Tag Remover" or equal.

But it is strange, that Adobe has not yet solved this problem at the root ... (((

We gave the file to specialists.
As a result of the analysis, it turned out that the file contains RAW Data information, which Photoshop does not delete. This is a kind of watermark for protection, maybe copyright, etc.
Surprisingly, it preserves editing history. As a result, the RAW information weighs 14 MB, and the file with the color data in this case is 0.6 MB. Image: 0.6 Mb + RAW 14 Mb. So, you are not storing images, but watermarks.
--problem--
When working with a catalog where there are a lot of such images (about 1000), the size of the layout goes through the roof. Indesign cannot save even 10 A4 pages. The file weighs over 2 GB. Respectively - crush and other problems.

You have to do something about it. Find a compromise between copyright protection and common sense. Files to heavy!
