Problem with brushes created by Cheryl Tarrant of Distressed Textures

Hello!  My bird and tree brushes from Distressed Textures are "sticking" to my cursor, and not applying when I attempt to click them in place.  I contacted Cheryl Tarrant, the creator of the brushes, and she suggested I contact Adobe, as it's a problem she's never seen before.  All suggestions are most welcome!

Hi

What do you mean by "sticking"?

Try this:

  • Reset the Brush tool by right-clicking it in the options bar (not Tools panel) and choosing Reset
  • Start a new document
  • Type "D" for default swatches
  • Select your brush and paint

Does it work now? If not, we need a screen shot that shows the following so we can better assist:

  • options bar
  • Brush settings panel
  • Layers panel

Thank you so much, Jane, for taking the time to work with me on my problem!  I discovered that I needed to add a layer for the brushes, and that opacity needed to be set at 100%.  I'm all set, now.  Kathryn
