problem with pen tracing

hi guys i have been having a problem with the pen tool when i want to make a trace i dont see what i am tracing

Try the following:

1. Go to Preferences > Technology Previews... and check "Disable Native Canvas" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

2. Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Use Graphics Processor. Restart Photoshop. Does the problem persist?

Can you post a screen shot that includes the Options bar running along the top of Photoshop and the Layers panel?
