I have just gone through an extensive process of reinstalling Adobe Creative Suite 3 design standard and have successfully opened photoshop then attempt to open a raw photo. A box pops up when I click open Photoshop Raw Options the dimensions width and height are both blank Channels has count 1 in box and 8bits highlighted then header has size 0 in box. I have no idea what to put into the blanks in order to open the original raw photos as originally photographed. In the past in the old version that was on the computer I was able to open a raw image automatically without any impediment or added instruction necessary

Make sure that you have applied all CS3 updates- the updater is broken so you have to manually download them. A Photoshop raw file is NOT the same as a Camera RAW file, they are different formats. A RAW file has to open in Adobe Camera Raw plugin first and then will be sent to Photoshop.

Please read this (in particular the section titled "Supply pertinent information for quicker answers")

and consider that the camera model can also play a role.

What is the exact file format of the files you are trying to process?
