Problems with Photoshop CC2020

I  have been using and even teaching others about Photoshop for more than 20 years but I have been having so many problems with the software lately that I wonder if my copy of PS CC2020 could be corrupt.  I have made 3 calls to Adobe this week, updated the software as they suggested, yet the problems continue.

When I copy files from my backup hard drive, I can't rename them and can't delete them even though I have always done this in the past.  If I go to Finder, I can rename and/or delete them but that's time-consuming.  Also, the software I use every day, Topaz Studio 2 will not open from within Photoshop as it always did.  I even reinstalled Topaz Studio 2 but that didn't help.  I was on hold with Adobe for nearly 2 hours last night before I hung up.  I am currently on a wait for chat for the past hour and ready to give up again.  Can anyone help please?

Which version is your OS?
First reset your Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in Photoshop preferences.

If that doesn't help, uninstall Photoshop, using the drop-down menu in the Creative Cloud app and resinstall Photoshop. If that doesn't work, uninstall Photoshop again and run Adobe Cleaner before reinstalling. https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
