Property box for HSL disappears when I use the eye dropper

Photoshop v 23.1.1 Macbook pro running Monterey 12.1

Click the HSL adjustment. The property box appeaars, as usual. I hover over the photo using the eye dropper tool so I can slect a color to adjust. I click on the photo, and the property box disappers. This started hapening the last week of January. I also tried making other adjustments, basically, anytime I use the eye dropper tool, no mater the adjustment, the property box dissappers.
