PS 2020 brush lag and auto connecting straight line problem

Hi. I have been using PS 2020 on my MacBook Pro for quite a long time. But this problem has came up more recently.
When ever I use "Option" key in Brush tool as a quick access to the Straw tool, it auto-connects as a straight line as I go back to Brush tool. This also happened when I change to another brush tool in Tool Prest and go back onto the Canvas. Apparently there is kind of brush lag, but also the straight line problem.

I'm on macOS 10.14.3 and PS 2020 21.0.1. with a wacom tablet. If any one could help me I would be very appreciate! It really affects my painting efficiency.

Inspiring

This has been a longstanding problem in Photoshop, we have been complaining about it for over five years. Adobe blame Apple and Wacom and refuse to fix it. None of the remedies posted by anyone here will work so don't waste your time.
