PS 2020 Crop tool grid spacing bad

Using Photoshop 2020 v21.0.1 on Windows 10 v1909, with 1600x1200 display.

When the Crop Tool is displayed with overlay "Grid", the grid spacing is fine when viewed directly from the PC's main display: seee attached screen-shot: "Crop tool grid - good.png".

When the same instance of Photoshop on the same Windows 10 PC is viewed from a Remote Desktop session from a Windows 7 PC also with a 1600x1200 display, the Crop Tool overlay grid spacing is wrong (too many grid lines too close together): see attached screen-shot: "Crop tool grid - bad.png".

Is there some way that I can configure the spacing of the overlay grid used by the Crop Tool, or is this just a new bug in Photoshop 2020?  This was not a problem with the previous version of Photoshop.

For the avoidance of doubt, I am referring specifically to the overlay grid implemented by the Crop Tool, and not the general grid lines that can be configured in Photoshop Preferences.
