PS 2021 - sluggish layers

Hello,

lately I experience, only on some files, and not too large (app 50 MB) a delay in making a layer visible or unvisible (clicking the eye).

It takes several seconds to react in the open image / make the layer visible or disappear.

This is only the case with some file that were quite large at the beginning (app 250 MB) and I thought it has anything to do with the size - which it shouldn't ... I had larger files with no delays.

Now I reduced the size but the problem still persists.

- I have "Disable compression of PSD and PSB files" checked.

- I have, as is default, "Use Graphics Processor" on .. "advanced"

- Under "Advanced" all options are checked, except 30 Bit Display.

- Scratch disk - only C drive, since it's an SSD - lots of space, only system

Again: it's not a global problem - only these handful of files

System: 

Win10 Pro, 64 Bit, i7, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia RTX 2060, Samsung 970 Plus 250GB (50 used for system)

everything always up-to-date
