Question

PS (21.0.3) adjusting Date creation when I save file.

I am having trubles with PS today completely out of the blue.

I would mostly in Lightroom, organising files and performing minor image adjustments. But on photos that require more work i "Edit Photo with Adobe Photoshop 2020". then click "edit original".

My problem is that once i save the jpeg and go back to Lightroom. PS has changed the 'date created' of the image. The date it changes the files meta data to is neither the current date I perform tha task nor one that has any conection to the original file. And it is always the same no matter what image i work on.

Why is this happening and how can i stop it?

I've moved this from the poorly named Community Help forum (which is the forum for issues using the forums) to the Photoshop forum so that proper help can be offered.

UPDATES:

I have discovered that the incorrect dating actually happens upon opening the file in Photoshop.

Within Lightroom the files Capture Date is 23 May 2019.

- "Edit Photo with Adobe Photoshop 2020"

- File - File Info..

The meta data of the file is now telling me that the Creation date has changed to this new date:  <xmp:CreateDate>2019-12-02T12:47:22Z</xmp:CreateDate>

Bur the stranges thing is that the Modifacation date of the file is apparently earlier than the creation date of the file; which, needless to say is impossible, and further proof there is a bug here.

Happy to supply any and all screenshots on request. as well as Raw Data info.
