PS 24.4 Issues

Updated to PS24.4 today and wow, are there issues.  Files, JPG and PSD, take longer to open, my key commands no longer work, when I simply type W for the magic wand, or E for the eraser, it doesn't select the tools, instead reverts to whatever previous tool was used, excruciatingly frustrating when trying to work catalog images quickly.  It has frozen or shutdown randomly 5 times today, losing several edits, and it is incredibly slow, clone stamp edits take 3 seconds to show up, selections never appear until the third or fourth attempt.  What is going on, Adobe? Cost me a day of work.

Processor: 3.6 ghz 8-core i9

Memory: 64gb

500gb of storage left of 1tb

24.4.1 is the current version for the Mac. Did you check for updates?

Hi @Andrew251607859hct for the tool shortcuts, that is a new feature you can turn off under Preferences/Tools/Spring Loaded Tool Shortcuts. 

As for your other issues, please go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

I am on Windows and everything works fine. Quick fix if you are in rush is to revert to previous working version untill someone provide solution.
